Julia Dębowska, born in Toronto, is a Polish-Canadian soprano. She studied opera at the Hanns Eisler School of Music Berlin with Prof. Renate Faltin and Prof. Thomas Quasthoff. She is the First Prize winner of the Wiener Klassiks Competition (2026), the International Giulio Perotti Singing Competition, and the Canadian Music Competition, and is supported by the Lucia Loeser Foundation and Yehudi Menuhin Live Music Now Berlin.

She has gained stage experience at the Deutsche Oper Berlin, the FIDENA Festival Bochum, and the Konzerthaus Berlin. As a concert soloist, she has also appeared at the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival and made her debut in the Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall in New York.

Her operatic repertoire includes roles such as Mimì (La Bohème), Donna Elvira (Don Giovanni), Wellgunde (Das Rheingold), Fiordiligi (Così fan tutte), Micaëla (Carmen), Agathe (Der Freischütz), the Countess (Le nozze di Figaro), and Lia (L’enfant prodigue).

Most recently, Julia Dębowska appeared with Martin Kerschbaum and the Vienna City Orchestra at the Wiener Konzerthaus in February 2026. In July 2026, she will perform the role of Mimì in La Bohème at Brotfabrik Berlin.
